Role: Director of Philanthropy
The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for developing and executing strategies to generate financial support for the organization, with a primary focus on fundraising and donor engagement. This includes identifying potential donors, cultivating meaningful relationships, and stewarding existing supporters to ensure long-term involvement and investment in the organization’s mission. The Director leads the Philanthropy Team in coordinating campaigns, events, and outreach efforts to effectively inspire and secure contributions from individuals, businesses, and community partners.
They are tasked with creating fundraising materials, managing donor communications, and ensuring all philanthropic efforts align with the values and goals of the organization. The Director works closely with the Board of Directors to support fundraising initiatives, provide updates on donor engagement, and collaborate on strategies to expand the organization’s funding network. They also contribute to the budgeting process by helping forecast revenue, align fundraising goals with organizational needs, and ensure financial sustainability. The Director collaborates with the Media and Program teams to maintain consistent messaging and demonstrate the impact of donations.
Throughout the planning cycle, the Director tracks fundraising progress, addresses challenges, and adjusts strategies as needed to meet financial goals. Their work is essential to sustaining the organization’s operations and expanding its capacity to serve and empower participants.
